Treated Pine Sleepers
Treated pine sleepers are used for a range of landscaping projects including fencing posts, garden edging, retaining walls and plant boxes. Being treated, they are long-lasting and are protected against decay and termites.

Cypress Pine
Cypress pine is naturally resistant to termites. Being a natural timber, it is suitable for veggie gardens or where contact with people is expected. No chemicals are used with these sleepers.

Hardwood Sleepers
Barwon Timber stocks hardwood sleepers in 200 x 75mm.  These are usually a class 1 or 2 timber and available in 2.4, 2.7 and 3 metre lengths. Subject to availability.

Our Hardwood timber sleepers are durable and long-lasting and have a high resistance to decay, termites, and insects. Hardwood timber sleepers are ideal for outdoor landscaping projects including retaining walls, feature fences, and garden borders. Because they are natural timber, they are also suitable for veggie gardens and where contact with people is expected.

FAQs

What timber sleepers have the longest life span?

Hardwoods are resistant to decay and insect infestations when in contact with the ground and are a good choice for durability and longevity. Treated pine will also have similar durability and lifespans if correctly installed, away from prevalent damp conditions.
